Cedar Creek Lodge Wedding, Mt Tamborine – Tash & Stephen

It is such a pleasure to work with couples are so clearly in love and make each other laugh so much.

Nothing can beat the look of overwhelming joy on Tash’s face as she came down the aisle.

By the time she got to Stephen waiting at the end, they were both grinning ear to ear and rightly so.

Natasha and Stephen chose a fantastic wedding venue in Cedar Creek Lodges on Mt. Tambourine in the Gold Coast Hinterland and I was fortunate enough to be shooting with Fiona K for the day.

Located in the thick of the bush and as the name suggests Cedar Creek lodges are located right on the bank of the lovely mountain creek running down Mt. Tambourine.

This makes for an amazing, lush bushland setting and there is nothing quite like getting ready (and having your wedding ceremony) and being able to hear the sounds of the river running over moss-covered boulders in the background.

There is something about being near water that just makes everything better and being surrounded by such an amazing treescape doesn’t hurt either.

Although the weather made for some beautiful light to get some lovely photos, it didn’t always suit being outdoors, with occasional showers rolling through throughout the day.

For the most part, everyone managed to stay dry, save for the post-ceremony photo shoot. After trudging across sodden paddocks, we all got a little rained on. But not to worry, when everyone is in such good spirits it was never going to put a dampener on the day (You’re welcome for that amazing pun btw).

It’s great to see when a bride, groom and all the party are keen and so willing to get out in the bush, get the shoes off and balance-beam their way across a log perched above the creek for some shots, risking a not too small fall into the creek.

Everything else aside, The lots of smiles lots of last few tears shit throughout the day.
